Razer Huntsman Mini:
features & buying considerations
A 60% optical-switch keyboard that trades dedicated keys for mouse space.
Model covered: Razer Huntsman Mini. Different generations and configurations may have different specifications.
What the specifications tell you
The Huntsman Mini is a 60% keyboard using Razer optical switches and a detachable USB-C cable. Its size removes the dedicated function row and number pad. That makes the layout question more important than a generic “gaming keyboard” label.

Practical benefits and trade-offs
These are buying considerations inferred from the layout and stated features, not conclusions from testing.
Reasons to consider it
- The shortened layout can leave more room for broad mouse movements.
- A detachable cable can simplify packing or rearranging a desk.
Reasons to look closer
- Function and navigation commands require learning the relevant key combinations.
- The standard Huntsman Mini and Huntsman Mini Analog are different models; their switch features should not be mixed.
Is this the right type of keyboard for you?
Before adopting a 60% layout, try a day of work with a list of your function-key and arrow-key shortcuts. Frequent editing, coding, or spreadsheet navigation may make a larger layout easier to use. A compact shape alone does not establish gaming performance, and we have not tested latency or switch response.
For a different option, read the Logitech G915 TKL overview, or use our keyboard buying guide to choose a layout and connection.
Check the exact listing before buying
Verify the standard Huntsman Mini model, switch variant, regional layout, and included cable. Compare the exact product identifier rather than treating every “Huntsman Mini” listing as interchangeable. For dedicated navigation keys in a smaller-than-full-size board, compare a tenkeyless layout.
